TABUK CITY, Kalinga –The Empowerment and Reaffirmation of Parental Abilities (ERPAT) initiatives of District 3 barangays were evaluated by the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) recently to help the groups determine their future direction, requirements, and priorities while also assessing the programs and activities they carried out in 2022.
Four ERPAT groups from barangays Ipil, Nambaran, Lacnog, and Lacnog West, attended the program review and evaluation.
According to Melody Dulawen, Social Welfare Officer of CSWDO, dads and guardians who join ERPAT are expected to effectively carry out their parenting responsibilities and enhance their family lives for the welfare of their families and children.
Enrique Baliang and Napoleon Ayang-ang, addressing the groups on behalf of City Mayor Darwin Estrañero, promised that the city government is in full support of the plans and actions of ERPAT groups for their empowerment.
The two exhorted members of ERPAT to put their families first and face obstacles as the heads of their families.
They added that it is their duty as ERPAT members and family heads to instill in their kids’ strong morals, rules, and a sense of faith.
The highlights of the event was the group’s presentation of their accomplishments and the tool that Social Welfare Officer Judith Sangdaan presented to help the group prioritize efforts this year to improve results and strengthen the quality of their programs.
