BAGUIO CITY – City officials expressed their gratitude the owners of business establishments that provide discounts and perks and those that continue to provide the same to their customers that are fully vaccine against the dreaded Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) as one of the means to promote a positive response to the ongoing roll out of the government’s mass vaccination program.
In a resolution, local legislators stated that it is but proper to commend the owners of business establishments that immediately responded to the call of the local government and concerned government agencies in aggressively promoting a positive response of the public on the need for people to be vaccinated against the deadly virus amidst the vaccine hesitance among some of the populace.
Earlier, the body approved Resolution No. 319, series of 2021, which encourages owners of business establishments to offer discounts or perks to their clients and customers who are fully vaccinated against the COVID-19.
Further, the Baguio Tourism Council (BTC) and the Hotel and Restaurants Association of Baguio (HRAB) have engaged their members and the concerned tourism industry stakeholders to aggressively promote vaccination to the general public by offering perks and other incentives for fully vaccinated individuals.
The HRAB submitted to the city government on August 9, 2021 the following names of business establishments that provide discounts and perks to their customers that have been fully vaccinated against the deadly virus: Artwork, Auntie Anne’s, Baguio Country Club, Bistro Lokal, Buffalo’s Wings N’ Things, Chalet Baguio, Chili’s, Chowking, David Salon, DC, Golden Pine Hotel, Grand Sierra Pines, Hillstation, Hotel Cosmopolitan, Hotel Supreme – Gloria Jeans Coffee, Jollibee, Kalapaw Restaurant, Koomi, Kureji, Le Chef at the Manor, Macau Imperial Tea, Manam, Mang Inasal, Mango Tree Café’, McDonald’s, Mei-Hwa/Ihaw Juan, Mesa, Nail House, Paladin Hotel, Paragon Hotel, Potato Corner, Soidemer Catering, Swiss Baker, The Forest Lodge, The Manor at Camp John Hay, The SM Store, The Travel Club, Tiger Sugar, Tiong San Camp Sioco, Tiong San La Trinidad, Tiong San Notre Dame, Zark’s Burger and Holiday Inn.
The council stipulated that the decision of the owners of the business establishments to provide discounts and perks to persons who are fully vaccinated that patronized their goods and services should serve as an example for others to follow to help in convincing more people to avail of the ongoing vaccination roll out in the different vaccination centers around the city.
The council expects more business establishments in the city to offer discounts or perks to their fully vaccinated customers to help in convincing the people who remain undecided to be vaccinated while there are still available vaccines that are being inoculated to the residents.
