TABUK CITY, Kalinga – A total of 23 cooperatives from the city were oriented by the Department of Agriculture Credit Policy Council (DA-ACPC)-Cordillera on their Agri-Negosyo (ANYO) Loan Program on Wednesday.
The orientation aims to offer accessible and affordable working capital loans to eligible borrowers and lending conduits to finance their capital requirements in enhancing the efficiency, productivity, and profitability of farming and fisheries in the city.
According to Charleston Dulay, ACPC Program Coordinator, the orientation aims to identify potential partners from these cooperatives to distribute government credit programs to small farmers and fisherfolks.
Dulay said that eligible borrowers could access loans ranging from Php 300K for Micro Agri-Negosyo Loans to amounts between PhP300K and PhP15 million for small Agri-Negosyo Loans.
He expressed optimism about identifying eligible cooperatives during the orientation that could serve as lending conduits and borrowers, and hopes that they will successfully meet the eligibility criteria to enable the distribution of DA’s loan programs across Tabuk City. By Ruth Cupang
