TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Cordillera Regional Director Araceli San Jose handed over the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) 2022 marker to Mayor Darwin Estrañero and Vice Mayor Dick Bal-o on Thursday, June 13.
The SGLG is an award, incentive, honor, and recognition-based program for local government units (LGUs) that continuously improve their performance and attain progress.
San Jose explained that the delivery of the SGLG marker the city received for 2022 was postponed due to procurement issues and apologized to the city mayor for the delay.
The regional director also thanked the city government for its support and expressed hope that Tabuk City will be awarded again in this year’s awarding.
“Sapay kuma ta nu ag-award manen nu October wennu November ket kadwa manen ti Tabuk City,” she said.
She also requested the city government’s support for the DILG Buhay Ingatan, Droga’y Ayawan (BIDA) anniversary to be held in the province on Friday, June 14, where Secretary Benjamin “Benhur” C. Abalos, Jr. will be present.
“May I request your support? Let us show our secretary nga kaya tayu nga mang-host ti dakkel nga event. We are so happy because the secretary chose Kalinga.
