CALANASAN, Apayao – Some 249 members/beneficiaries of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) benefited from the Konsulta Service Caravan of PhilHealth on February 26, 2024, at the Calanasan Sports and Cultural Center in Poblacion, Calanasan.
The event focused on members from the municipality by offering them initial patient consultations and registration for primary healthcare benefits. The services included complimentary medical consultations, health risk screenings, selected laboratory, and diagnostic tests, as well as the provision of essential drugs and medicines.
PhilHealth CAR Regional Vice President Dr. Dominga Gadgad graced the occasion, reaffirming PhilHealth’s dedication to bolstering primary healthcare services in Apayao.
Alongside the Konsulta Caravan Services, the Provincial Health Office (PHO) spearheaded Project BUTSY which provided free medical missions, dental services, medication distribution, and consultations.
Dr. Roy Julian, Chief of Hospital at Sta. Marcela District Hospital who was also there, emphasized the significance of Project Butsy during his address, highlighting its contributions to community health.
Additionally, the Department of Social Welfare and Development Office – SWAD, distributed a total of 400 Family Food Packs (FFPs) to beneficiaries in Calanasan.
