PUDTOL, Apayao – Some ninety community leaders and residents of barangay Lt. Balag recently benefited from the gift giving activity that was conducted by the Pan Pacific Renewable Power Phils. Corp. (PPRPPC) which was held at the RG Domingo Fish Farm and Resort at Alem here recently.
The company’s gift giving activity is part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives for its host and neighboring communities relative to its proposed 150-megawatt Gened-1 hydroelectric power project in the locality.
The activity within the Tawit ancestral domain in the municipality was conducted in close coordination with the Pudtol municipal government and the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Pudtol service center.
The beneficiaries of the said gift giving event included authorized community elders and leaders and barangay LT Balag community members.
The event was attended by municipal Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) Edano Patayan, Lt. Balag punong barangay Leticia Balag, PPRPPC representatives and NCIP Pudtol service center officials and employees. By Dexter A. See
