TUBA, Benguet – A 31-year old farmer was hurt after he was allegedly shot by his own father inside his residence at Indaoac, Tabaan Norte here Sunday morning
Senior Superintendent Florante Camuyot, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the victim as Randy Dagman, 31, farmer and a resident of Indaoac, Tabaan Norte, Tuba, Benguet while he named the suspect as his own father Edward Alawas Dagman, 64, married, farmer and a resident of the same place.
Initial policed investigation showed the suspect had a heated altercation with his wife before he proceeded to the house of his son where he confronted the victim why he continued to side with his mother every time they had a disagreement.
His son tried to explain his side but his father refused to listen and suddenly shot him once with the use of a calibre .22 airgun hitting him on his leg.
The victim was rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment where he was later confined while the suspect was subsequently arrested by responding operatives and awaiting the filing of frustrated parricide charges against him.
