BONTOC, Mountain Province – Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr., together with Board Member (BM) Tomas B. Tawagen, exchanged pleasantries with the four graduates of the Philippine Military Academy – Bagong Sinag Class of 2024 who hail from Mountain Province.
The graduates were 2nd Lieutenants Jake Matiw from Bontoc, Ronald It-itan from Sabangan, Joel Lacsigen from Besao, and Einstein Basungit from Paracelis. The four graduated recently last May 18, 2024, at Fort Gregorio del Pilar in Baguio City. Two of the four MP graduates belong to the top-performing cadets of the said class. It-itan graduated Cum Laude and will be joining the Philippine Air Force together with Lacsigen while Matiw was accorded the Athletic Saber Awards and will be joining the Philippine Army with Basungit.
During their conversation, Governor Lacwasan and BM Tawagen were one in relaying their congratulations to the four lieutenants for their achievement and for bringing honor to the province.
Moreover, both officials were one in encouraging the young lieutenants to do their best in their chosen field and continue being an inspiration of dedication and success to their fellow youths.
Also present during the courtesy visit were Administrative Assistant IV Bendahara Buea K. Macliing from the Provincial Information Office and Ana Marie Magwa, relative of Matiw.
Meanwhile, prior to their visit to the Governor, Matiw, It-itan, Lacsigen and Basungit were also acknowledged during the first Monday program held at the Provincial Plaza where they individually expressed their gratitude to the Provincial Government for its support.
Vice Governor Francis O. Tauli, Board Members Ezra Samson A. Gomez, Ricardo M. Masidong, Jr., Johnson D. Bantog II, and Kapon B. Gomgom-o, Provincial Administrator Franklin C. Odsey and other personnel from the Provincial Government and National Line Agencies expressed their greetings and congratulations to the graduates. By HENT
