LUNA, Apayao – The Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) will initiate funding for two solar-powered pump irrigation projects in Apayao starting this July.
The Apayao Irrigation Management Office (IMO) of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) announced this development during a meeting of the Provincial Implementing Team at Borromeo Residence in San Isidro Sur on June 25, 2024.
The projects receiving CARP funding are the Tumog Solar Pump Irrigation Project in Barangay Tumog and the Dagupan Solar Pump Irrigation Project in Barangay Dagupan, both located in Luna.
Key stakeholders from the Department of Agrarian Reform, NIA Apayao IMO, Department of Trade and Industry, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and Department of Science and Technology participated in the meeting. By Michelle Acantilado
