Benguet boys and girls secondary Badminton team are “getting psyched up” in preparation for the 2015 CARAA meet in Baguio City slated February 2015, after the concluded Provincial Meet last December 10-14, 2014 at the Wangal Sports Complex, in La Trinidad, Benguet that served as the selection for athletes to the CARAA Meet that included thirteen participating municipalities in the Cordillera Administrative Region namely: Tuba, La Trinidad, Bugias, Mangkayan, Tublay, Kapangan, Kabayan, Bokod, Bakun, Atok, Itogon, Kibungan, Sablan, and, Benguet State University as an independent delegation.
Meanwhile, dominating the provincial selections for the secondary Badminton competition to represent the Province of Benguet in the up-coming CARAA MEET are athletes from the HOPE Christian Academy in La Trinidad, with six (6) participants namely; (Girls) Skye Chloe E. Suayan, Shawalyn Alyssa B. Pacheco, and Samantha R. Baysa. (Boys) Barney S. Mandapat, Kaiser Von T. Lasdacan, and Revin Xavier A Lopate. Winners Ruthlyn C. Tambic of the Benguet State University, and Cedric Oania of Tuba Benguet will be joining the team to complete the eight man representation for Benguet.
Technical support for the team will be provided by Coach Jay L. Claveria for the girls team and Coach Jason C. Belardo for the Boys team. Aside from the assistance to be provided by the Province of Benguet to the Secondary Badminton Team representatives, HOPE Christian Academy President, Jonathan G. Mandapat and spouse Evangeline Rachel S. Mandapat, School Administrator will be providing support for the team.
