BAUKO, Mountain Province – The Citizens Crime Watch – Cordillera Administrative Region (CCW-CAR) declared its unrelenting and uncompromising support to the leadership of Dr. Eduardo B. Calpito, medical chief of the Luis Hora Regional Memorial Hospital for his dedication to public service, responsive to the needs of the people needing health assistance from the health facility.
In his letter to Health Secretary Francisco Duque III, Salvador Liked, CCW-CAR regional secretary, claimed that Dr. Calpito has a good medical track record, honest in discharging his assigned duties and responsibilities, trustworthy and extends his extra effort in the conduct of free medical missions to the remote areas of the Cordillera.
“We are witnesses to his support to the various development projects that were started by promoted hospital chief, Dr. Mathew Glenn G. Baggao in his few years of stay in the said hospital. Dr. Calpito is a visionary leader who wants continuity in the improvement of the health facility,” Liked stated in his letter.
Among the projects being fully supported by Dr. Calpito include the put up of the dialysis center with 10 units of dialysis machines and requested for additional machines when necessary, construction of the required oxygen generating plants, construction of waste autoclave, deep well construction, completion of motorpool building, repair of power house, construction of administrative office, construction of laundry area and construction of access road to the oxygen generating plants.
On the other hand, the priority projects of Dr. Calpito include the put up of a 4-storey building for additional private rooms and charity wards, purchase of different laboratory equipment’s and mobile x-ray apparatus among others.
Dr. Calpito was reportedly responsible for the establishment of the Cordillera Administrative Region Drug Rehabilitation Center which is about to commence construction in the compound of the regional hospital to serve the drug rehabilitation requirements of all the provinces in the region.
Initially, the proposal to increase the bed capacity of the hospital from 100 to 200 was already approved in the committee level of the House of Representatives to cater to the increasing health needs of the people seeking medical assistance from the regional hospital.
The group stated that it is satisfied with Dr. Calpito’s leadership as chief of the regional hospital that have resulted to the effectively and efficient delivery of basic health services to the people in the different parts of the region.
Liked claimed the fast-paced development of the regional hospital only shows the government’s support in cascading to the grassroots level the necessary basic health services so that the needs of the people in the countryside could be effectively and efficiently addressed by fully equipped health facilities that are strategically situated for the benefit of a healthy society.
Bauko plays host to the regional hospital which is situated right at the heart of the municipality or within the declared government center of the locality.
