LUNA, Apayao – In recognition for its consistent commitment in being a vital partner in the realization of the Universal Health Care (UHC), the provincial government is one of this year’s “Dangal ng Philhealth Awardee.”
The award, a plaque and a certificate of appreciation, were given to the provincial government during the Pasasalamat at Pagkilala to Regional and Local Stakeholders on December 4 at Orchard Hotel, in Baguio City by the Philhealth Regional Office-Cordillera (PRO-CAR).
The Pasasalamat and Pagkilala ceremony is a special event of PRO-CAR which intends to recognize the hard work and tireless efforts of the regional, local stakeholders and partners in the achievement of the UHC law for its significant impact to the health welfare of every Filipino.
Provincial Governor Elias Bulut Jr and Congresswoman Eleanor Bulut-Begtang have been staunch supporters of the advocacy of the UHC who both put local health care services in their list of priorities as seen in the implementation of a wide range of free medical services across the province.
The provincial government, meantime, conveyed its continuous commitment to contribute to a better UHC for the generations of today and tomorrow.
Apayao PHO is “One Province All Konsulta Accredited”
The Provincial Health Office likewise has been recognized as “One Province All Konsulta Accredited” by PRO-CAR for its unwavering and exemplary contributions in the successful implementation of Konsulta program of the DOH in the province.
PHO Officer Mark M. Calban said the awards are the outcomes of all the support of the provincial government in achieving a good health financing strategy and advocacy towards attaining Universal Health Care System in Apayao Province. By Jomela Dela Torre
