The Schools Division Office (SDO) of Benguet commended all the public elementary and secondary schools for their efforts and sacrifice in carrying out the week-long 2019 Brigada Eskwela last May 20 to 25 with the top 3 schools declared as best implementers by the division monitoring and evaluation team per category to be recognized on August 30 at the Adivay Hall, SDO Benguet, Wangal, La Trinidad.
Schools are categorized as either small, medium, large or mega depending on the total number of enrolment.
Winners under small group in descending order are Mamuyod Elementary School (ES)-Tublay, Piminggan ES-Tuba and Bakun Central School for elementary while Adaoay National High School (NHS)- Extension Abucot-Kabayan, Ampusongan NHS-Bakun and Buguias NHS for secondary.
Loo ES-Buguias topped the medium elementary schools followed by Enrique Jose ES-Kibungan and Marivic ES in Mankayan. On the other hand, the medium secondary schools was bested by Kamora NHS-Kabayan tailed by Tuba Central NHS and Ampucao NHS-Bakun.
Meanwhile, in large schools, Lepanto ES-Mankayan and Puguis ES-La Trinidad maintained their previous rank as first and second, correspondingly, whereas, Gov. Bado Dangwa Agri Industrial School-Kapangan was on the lead with Alejo Pacalso NHS-main of Itogon landing second and Mankayan NHS ranked third.
Sustaining the 1st place under mega category is the Tublay Home of School Industries-main and La Trinidad Central School for secondary and elementary level, respectively. Loo NHS-Buguias snatched the second place.
The Brigada Eskwela is the national schools maintenance week which aims to bring together all education stakeholders to participate and contribute their time, effort and resources to prepare public school facilities ready for the opening of schools every year. This year’s theme is, “Matatag na Bayan para sa Maunlad na Paaralan.”
