TABUK CITY, Kalinga – In a meeting organized today by the City Population Development Office, barangay population coordinators (BPC) were told to start preparing the masterlist of couples and individuals in their barangay with unmet needs.
Jonalyn Kiser, City Population Development Officer said the masterlist will guide the city government in coming up with other plans and programs for better reproductive health and family planning services.
Kiser noted that the masterlisting is not an easy task since BPCs need to reach the target clients in their home, especially those who refuse to visit at barangay health stations.
Aside from accuracy and completeness of data, the said document will profile women of reproductive age ages 15-49 with unmet needs like those with no access to family planning methods due to various considerations on personal, health and religious grounds.
Other than this, teenage parents (Batang Ina, Batang Ama) shall likewise be recorded.
The personnel of PopDev Office had clearly explained during the refresher training today how BPCs should go through the forms for correct and complete data.
The overall aim of this recording and masterlisting process is to meet ‘zero target’ of identified women of reproductive age with unmet needs and provide them the necessary services for healthier and happier adult life.
