TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The Department of Health-Cordillera (DOH-CAR), in close coordination with the Provincial DOH Office (DOH-Kalinga), Kalinga Provincial Health Office (PHO Kalinga), and the different city and municipal health offices (C/MHOs) and barangay health stations (BHS) in the province, are conducting a Rapid Convenience Monitoring (RCM) activity in support of the implementation of the #ChikitingLigtas campaign in the area.
The RCM seeks to ensure that all eligible children aged 0-59 months old have received their routine vaccines, as well as to track the progress and gather issues and concerns in the routine immunization efforts in Kalinga.
OIC Assistant Regional Director Dr. Janice Bugtong is leading the DOH-CAR team deployed in the province. She lauded the synergistic efforts between the local health offices and other stakeholders in the area, which made it possible for RCM to be conducted in multiple barangays across all of its eight municipalities and city.
Aside from the diligence of the local health workers in advocating for immunization, she also appreciated the generally positive reception of the locals to the routine vaccines.
The RCM will run from May 14 to 27, 2023. Similarly, DOH-CAR teams have been deployed to all the other provinces in the region and Baguio City. By DOH-CAR
