PARACELIS, Mountain Province – Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. led the ribbon cutting and switch-on ceremony for the energization rights of the sitio electrification project which was completed in Buringal Proper, Paracelis, Mountain Province on June 4, 2024.
The event was attended by Vice Governor Francis O. Tauli, Board Member Ezra Samson A. Gomez, Paracelis Sangguniang Bayan Members Andrew Pudlao and Willy Sinoli, Mountain Province Electric Cooperative (MOPRECO) Board of Directors Patricio B. Masliyan, Miguel L. Llopis, Alexander T. Pit-og, Rey B. Bucatan, Nicodemus L. Andawi, Jose C. Gayagay, House Wiring Inspector William D. Toyoken, Rev. Wyler B. Gansoen, MOPRECO employees, Paracelis LGU officials, Barangay Buringal officials, Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) and residents.
In their messages, Governor Lacwasan and the SP members present were one in commending the MOPRECO, ISELCOII and the Provincial Government for their collaboration in bringing electrification projects to the remote areas of the province.
“With the completion of the project, the area now has access to electricity,” Lacwasan said.
Meanwhile, MOPRECO General Manager and Engineer Nicodemus L. Andawi shared the history of the project during the event. He mentioned that the project was funded by National Electrification Administration (NEA), implemented by MOPRECO and negotiated with Isabela Electric Cooperative (ISELCO II) for the tapping of power lines, and was counter parted by the Provincial Government for the project’s success.
Moreover, the residents expressed their gratitude to the Provincial Government, MOPRECO, ISELCO II, LGU and barangay officials for the success of the project which is expected to bring positive changes and development to their place which will help bring a brighter future to everyone in the community.
In relation, Lacwasan mentioned about the worth 265 million pesos Philippine Rural Development Project which is in the process for approval. He said that once the project is approved and realized, it will open an access road from Catao to Dummon; thus, further bringing more development in the place.
The Governor said that a constructed road and electricity will assure the progress of the community. He also mentioned the different projects aligned under his administration’s “Barangay Muna” Program that were implemented in the remote area. By HENT
