LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – World-renowned singer and composer of Christian songs Jamie Rivera will lead concert performances during the culminating activity of the 2017 National Bible Week celebration in Pangasinan on January 28, Saturday, at the Narciso Ramos Sports and Civic Center, here.
Pastor Myra S. Jalique of Cathedral of Faith Philippines (Dagupan and Asingan) bared during a coordination meeting held at the Capitol recently that final preparations are underway for the said inter-faith event which will gather together thousands of members of catholic, protestant and evangelical churches.
Ptr. Jalique invites everyone to take part in the fund-raising concert to conclude the week-long Bible fete. Preliminaries of the bible week celebration starts at 3PM.
“The concert seeks to raise funds for the purchase of the ‘May They Be One Bible’ which will be distributed to poor families in Pangasinan,” said Jalique who added that proceeds will be turned over to the Philippine Bible Society.
Other performers during the concert include: The Perkins Twins and singers Gabriel Ramos, Ventinilla, Cathy Amaca and Myra Jalique.
Governor Amado I. Espino, III, Vice Governor Jose Ferdinand Z. Calimlim, Jr. and other officials of the province have been invited to grace the event.
Expressing gratitude to the provincial leadership for its all-out support on the tie-up activity, Ptr. Jalique said that the gathering has been supported by a presidential proclamation and a provincial ordinance.
