Jomary “The Zamboanginian Fighter” Torres is set to be back in action on July 12, Friday, at Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur for ONE: Masters of Destiny where she is to face Jihin Radzuan of Malaysia.
Torres, currently sporting a 4-3 record, will try to halt a three-bout losing skid. She suffered consecutive losses to Heqin Lin (March 8, 2019), Mei Yamaguchi (December 7, 2018) and Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol (September 22, 2018).
This came after a 4-0 start of her MMA career that includes spectacular victories against Rika Ishige, whom she beat by a second round submission (rear-naked choke) and Team Lakay’s April Osenio, whom she defeated in only 40 seconds by a slam and punches.
Rudzuan, known as the “Shadowcat”, is sporting a 4-1 career record. Like Torres, she also won her first four fights that includes unanimous decision victories over Gaol and Jenny Huang.
She, however, is coming off a split decision loss to Team Lakay’s Gina Iniong.
