TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Following the September 2023 Licensure Examination for Social Workers, the Kalinga State University (KSU) and the International School of Asia and the Pacific-Kalinga (ISAP) listed a total of 53 new registered social workers.
There were 35 graduates from KSU earning a 62.50% batch passing rate, namely: Jessavel Addawe; Berly Aguac; Jonathan Apil; Aiza Awag; Jessa Banasan; Rhea Kate Banatao; Jayhane Banotan; Freia Bonggawon; Jessica Bukyot; Querovin Camma; Cecile Condaya; Ira Kaye Damil; Millenia Dangiwan; Andrea Diki; Jennevive Diyawan; Maredel Dumawang; Ike Vince Duyan; Clarisa Gannisi; T-che Juan; John Hendrix Leyaley; Ivy Lumag-ay: Harris David Lumayna; Angelee Mamma; Rosalyn Massagan; Rica Pajarillaga; Jeian Pallogan; Liza Jane Pang-ay; Marenel Perez; Shella May Reyes; Jessa Rivera; Dorcas Sumaclan; Youngin Tagpao; Samuel Tolentino Jr.; Rosebelle Tongdo; and Leslie Yagyagon.
From ISAP-K, 18 examiners successfully passed the licensure exam with a 39.13% school passing rate, namely: Jheslyn Argonia; Sunshine Boreta; Every Joy Blaza; Creselda Bucad; Sharmaine Faith; Bruno,Claudine Carag; Cherylou Cayag; Rona Elyn Cayag; Mary Fe Precious Galang; Bless Ladyong; Leah Masadao; Cristine Obispado; Carla Monique Saguilot; Shantal Sawatang; Cember Ann Tavares; Kathleen Velasco; Bernes Wadwadan; and Ema Rose Yagyagon.
In an interview with Jay France Taclawan, the program head for social work at KSU, he said that the university’s rigorous academic and review program for social work is what helped produce 35 passers from the pioneer batch. This achievement will encourage additional students to obtain a degree in social work without leaving the province, he continued.
Marisa Patulay, Academic Coordinator of ISAP-K, also made a point to underline that the school’s social work program is already formed as a result of the registration of numerous social workers each year. In order to guarantee that students receive the greatest education and have an advantage during the licensing exam, the academic roadmap for the course is constantly evaluated.
In total, ISAP-K has also introduced 110 social workers since its inception in 2015.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 3,878 out of 6,833 passed the LESW given by the Board for Social Workers.
