With the stepped-up implementation of separate manhunt operations regionwide, PRO Cordillera cops arrested thirty-six (36) wanted personalities, while sixty-three (63) municipalities in the region recorded zero crime incidents from October 1 to 7, 2023.
Based on the records from PRO Cordillera’s Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), the Napino cops of Baguio City recorded the highest number of arrests, with nineteen (19) wanted persons apprehended, followed by the Hagiyo cops of Ifugao Police Provincial Office (PPO) with eight (8) arrests, the Cabalyero cops of Benguet PPO with seven (7) arrests, and the Luminawa cops of Kalinga PPO with two (2) arrests.
Of the arrested personalities, six (6) individuals were listed as Most Wanted Persons (MWP), of whom one (1) is listed at the regional level and five (5) at the provincial level.
Meanwhile, as a result of the intensified police presence, sixty-three (63) municipalities in the different provinces of the region and two (2) police stations in Baguio City remain peaceful, as PRO Cordillera recorded zero crime incidents during the same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in twenty-three (23) out of twenty-seven (27) municipalities in Abra; six (6) out of seven (7) municipalities in Apayao; eleven (11) out of thirteen (13) municipalities in Benguet; four (4) out of seven (7) municipalities in Kalinga; nine (9) out of eleven (11) municipalities in Ifugao; and the ten (10) municipalities in Mountain Province.
Further, the City Police Stations of Aurora Hill Police Station (PS) 6, and Kennon PS8 also recorded zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in Baguio City.
