BAGUIO CITY  – The location writer of the famous romantic comedy television show “Forever More’ assured city officials and local residents that more television shows aired over ABS-CBN Network will be filmed in the city to help in globally promoting the city as a premier tourist destination in the country.

Mark Angos, who personally received the resolution of commendation given out by the city government to ABS-CBN Network and the whole cast of “Forever More’ from city officials, expressed his gratitude to the very accommodating reception of the people and officialdom of the city during the several months of shooting the different scenes of the television series in the different parts of Baguio and Benguet.

“We want to contribute in globally promoting Baguio City and Benguet because of the many beautiful places worthy of visiting,” Angos stressed.

Sources disclosed Baguio City and Benguet will again be the premier location of the shooting of the scenes of ABS-CBN’s upcoming drama series “Pangako sa Iyo’ which will take the place of Forever More once it ends in the coming weeks.

Angos informed city officials that during their stay in Baguio and Benguet for the shooting of the various scenes of Forever More, the whole cast had been witnesses to beautiful places and cooperative people who aided them in successfully projecting the city as one of the premier destinations in the country today.

The premier scenes of Foreover More were taken in sitio Pungayan, Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet or within the territorial jurisdiction of Mount Sto. Tomas which they termed in the television show as La Presa.

Earlier, the city council passed a resolution commending the ABS-CBN Network and the whole cast and crew of Forever More for the show’s significant contribution to the promotion of the city as a premier tourism destination and the robust growth of the city’s tourism industry.

Angos said the city will be starting to realize the global impact of the television series because it will be show in the different parts of the world through its ‘The Filipino Chanel’ and will have a great impact in enticing foreigners to consider the city as their preferred destination when visiting the Philippines.

Mayor Mauricio G. Domogan cited he significant contributions of the television series in enticing the interest of people from all over the archipelago to visit the city and nearby Tuba town in order to get to La Presa and join the bandwagon of visitors flocking to the area, especially during weekends.

Aside from sitio Pungayan, other areas where the scenes of the television series were shot included the Manor inside Camp John Hay and various establishments along Marcos highway.

Domogan said the location shooting of the television series in the city generated the interest of local residents into patronizing television short stories that would also contributing in the promotion of other potential tourist destinations in the different parts of the archipelago in the future.

He called on local residents to continue warmly welcoming the shooting of television shows in their places because it would be an added boost to tourism. By Dexter A. See
