BONTOC, Mountain Province- The Provincial Government through Sangguniang Kabataan Federation (SKF) President and Board Member Jazzel-Mae P. Masidong, conducted an outreach program to the 10 municipalities in the province recently.
The program was readily approved by Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. and was subsequently funded by his office and from other refocused budget.
According to Masidong, the outreach program aimed to reach out to the less fortunate individuals specifically children and disadvantaged youth.
The beneficiaries were identified with the help of the 10 SK Municipal Federation presidents.
Board Member Masidong and her team personally turned-over a total of 594 gift packs to the identified beneficiaries. Masidong was assisted by Executive Assistants John F. Challoy and Marcelino T. Balaso, Jr., together with the respective SK councilors of the 10 municipalities: namely, Hon. Darnell M. Duligan of Besao, Hon. Jomyr C. Espejo of Tadian , Hon. Rajiv A. Albon of Bauko,Hon. Valerie Kate D. Morareng of Sadanga, Hon. Ferjinal E. Lomas-e of Barlig, Hon. Sunshine L. Canao of Natonin, Hon. Shalton Gawan of Paracelis , Hon. Sherwin S. Chamkas of Bontoc , Hon. Mark Regan Sapdoy of Sabangan,and Hon. Jereval M. Lawagey of Sagada.
Meanwhile, Congressman Maximo Y. Dalog Jr., augmented the lacking resources by donating an amount of P50,000 in cash which was received by Board Member Masidong. This enabled all identified recipients to be covered.
On the part of the beneficiaries, they expressed their profound gratitude to the provincial government and SKFP Mountain Province and to all who contributed to make the outreach program possible.
