TABUK CITY – Command Executive Senior Police (CESPO) of Philippine National Police (PNP)-Tabuk City Police, Executive Master Sergeant Dominick Balutoc, has retired from office after 28 years in service.
In his retirement celebration today, May 27, Mayor Darwin Estrañero extended his congratulatory message and acknowledged Balutoc’s contributions to the city police force.
“This is a happy and sad experience. I say happy because of his great contributions and achievements [while in the PNP], and I say sad because it is now the end of his career (with the PNP), Estrañero said.
“It is not easy to say farewell after many years of service, but his tenure in office has ended. [And] his retirement is a momentous occasion, a time to recognize his hard work, dedication and patriotism”, the mayor added.
Balutoc was assigned at the PNP-Tabuk City in 1998 and was a CESPO for eight years until his retirement this year.
The retired senior police officer said he remained a CESPO despite changes in PNP leadership, a testament to his good professional record and dedication.
Balutoc thanked all his colleagues and bosses. He also expressed his gratitude to his family for the pieces of advice he received from them which, he said, guided him over the years of his service.
He said even after his retirement, he will continue serving the community with whatever help he can provide as a civilian.
Estrañero advised him to enjoy his retirement, but also expressed the willingness of the city government to absorb him if he wishes to continue his service in a government office.
PNP Tabuk Chief of Police, PLtCol. Jolly Ngaya-an also thanked Balutoc for his great service, which serves as an example to all other policemen.
“To all other police [here], maysa [isuna] nga pagsarmingan. Nakapagretiro nga naayos. Just follow orders and do your duties well”, Ngaya-an said. By Rod Asurin
