LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – The Cordillera office of the Department of Health (DOH-CAR) recently worked out the upgrading of the medical equipment of the Police Regional Office – Cordillera hospital based inside Camp Bado Dangwa here which is the PNP’s regional headquarters.
DOH-CAR regional director Dr. Amelita Pangilinan turned over to the said hospital a portable x-ray machine during her recent visit to the regional headquarters.
During her arrival, Dr. Pangilinan was received by the Asst. Division Chief of the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division, PLTCol. Pelita P. Tacio and was accorded with a traditional welcome dance performed by the PRO Cordillera cultural dancers.
Highlights of the activity are the blessing and turnover of the Portable X-ray machine, medicines, and multivitamins by Dr. Pangilinan to the PRO Cordillera, Regional Director, PBGen. David K. Peredo, Jr., and the Chief Regional Medical and Dental Unit, PCol. Alex O. Manlangit.
Further, a Certificate of Accreditation was issued to Camp Bado Dangwa Hospital in compliance with the Statutory mandates outlined in Republic Act 10028, widely known as the “Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009” signed by Dr. Pangilinan.
In her message, Dr. Pangilinan expressed her gratitude to the women and men of PRO Cordillera for the continued partnership with the DOH-CAR and hopes that the said portable x-ray would help improve the enhancement of health facilities in PRO Cordillera.
“The DOH-CAR and the PRO Cordillera have always been having a good relationship. We look forward to this fostering synergy to both agencies so we can achieve a safer and healthier Cordillera.” Dr. Pangilinan said.
PBGen. Peredo likewise expressed his gratitude to the DOH-CAR for this great contribution that will surely enhance the medical capabilities of the hospital and benefit the community it serves. By Dexter A. See
