LINGAYEN, Pangasinan -The Pangasinan provincial board has confirmed the appointment of Evan Gladish P. Domalanta as the chief of the General Services Office (GSO) on March 20 during the regular session of the 9th Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Domalanta, who has been with the provincial government for 24 years is a graduate of AB Political Science in the University of Pangasinan where she likewise took up her law studies for two years.
Instead of finishing her law studies, the 46 year-old wife and mother of five children decided to take up her Master’s degree in Public Administration at the University of Luzon to devote more time for her family.
Among the projects that she considered to institute at the GSO include the installation of CCTV cameras at the vicinity of the Capitol complex, provision of added training for security guards, among other measures that could help improve the capabilities of employees especially the job orders.
Domalanta preceded Ret. Col. Rolando Diaz, who acted as officer-in-charge of the GSO from July 2007 to 2015.
The new general services officer vowed to continue the job left by her former supervisor with utmost excellence so as to retain the brand of service which is expected from her office.
The GSO is among the biggest offices in the provincial government with some 180 utility workers, 107 security guards who are deployed in different offices and hospitals, and 115 plantilla or permanent positions.
