CAMP DANGWA, La Trinidad, Benguet September 18 – Two suspected drug personalities were successively arrested by combined police operatives and anti-narcotics agents in separate buy bus operations in Abra, Kalinga and La Trinidad Thursday.
Superintendent Cherry Fajardo, public information officer of the Police Regional Office (PRO) in the Cordillera, identified the first drug personality that was arrested as Francisco Briones Acosta alias Boteng, 48, single, unemployed and a resident of Linasin, Zone I, Bangued, Abra.
Confiscated from Acosta during the buy bus operation at around 7:15 pm Thursday were 1 small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu; 1 rolled aluminium foil; and 1 P1,000.00 as marked money.
In barangay Santol, Rizal, Kalinga, combined police and anti-narcotics agents arrested Armando Paclay Adawi aka Bong Adawi/Bongti/Hongti, 40, married, farmer, and a resident of Ileb, Brgy Nambaran, Tabuk City, Kalinga during a bust bust operation around 9 pm Thursday.
Sezed from Badawi were 4 sachet of white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu weighing more or less 20 grams 1 weighing scale, 1 nokia cellphone, foil; and 1 P1,000.00 as marked money.
In barangay Puguis, La Trinidad, Benguet, police operatives were able to recover two marijuana plants that were placed in separate pots within the compound of a certain Betty Ladiong around 7:30 am Thursday.
During the conduct of the necessary inquiry on who among the house owner and boarders own the uprooted and destroyed marijuana plants, no one admitted owning the same promoting them to confiscate it for laboratory tests among others.
