LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Two police officers from Apayao province were awarded the prestigious Medalya ng Kagalingan by the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PRO-COR) on April 2 in Camp Major Bado Dangwa in La Trinidad, Benguet.
The recipients of this honor were Police Major June A. Lawingan from the Apayao Provincial Police Office (PPO) and Police Senior Master Sergeant Jude D. Mamoyong Jr. from the Regional Intelligence Division. They were recognized for their outstanding and unwavering efforts, which led to the successful surrender of an individual listed as No. 11 on the Periodic Status Report on Threat Groups for the 3rd Quarter of 2023.
The awarding ceremony, presided over by the Deputy Regional Director for Administration of PRO-COR, Police Brigadier General Patrick Joseph G. Alan, was a testament to the exemplary contributions of these officers to the anti-criminality campaign in the Cordillera region.
During the ceremony, a total of six police officers were honored with PNP Medals for their significant roles in combating criminal activities and ensuring the safety and security of the community.
The Medalya ng Kagalingan is a symbol of recognition and appreciation for the exceptional contributions of police officers who demonstrate outstanding performance and commitment to public service.
