LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Some twenty-six wanted persons were successively arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents in separate anti-criminality operations in the different parts of the Cordillera from April 28 to May 4.
Further, sixty of the seventy seven cities and municipalities in the region were able to record zero crime incidents during the said period.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division, Baguio City Police Office (CPO) recorded the highest number of arrests, with nine wanted persons apprehended, followed by Benguet Police Provincial Office (PPO) with eight arrests, Abra PPO and Kalinga PPO with three arrests each, Apayao PPO with two arrests, and Mountain Province PPO with one arrest.
All the arrested wanted personalities were brought to the offices of their respective arresting units for documentation and proper disposition.
During the same week, zero crime incidents were recorded in the 27 municipalities in Abra, eight municipalities in Ifugao, seven municipalities each in Benguet and Mountain Province, six municipalities in Kalinga, and five municipalities in Apayao.
Further, in Baguio City, Camdas Police Station (PS2), Aurora Hill Police Station (PS6), Kennon Road Police Station (PS8), and Irisan Police Station (PS9) also recorded zero crime incidents out of the 10 police stations in the city.
