As PROCOR cops continue to step up their efforts against criminality, a total of thirty-eight (38) individuals wanted by the law were arrested, while fifty-four (54) municipalities in the region recorded zero crime incidents from July 9–15, 2023.
Based on the records from the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD), the Kalinga Police Provincial Office (PPO) recorded the highest number of arrests with eighteen (18) wanted persons apprehended, followed by the Baguio City Police Office (CPO) with eleven (11) arrests, Benguet PPO with six (6) arrests, and Apayao PPO, Ifugao PPO, and Mountain Province PPO with one (1) arrest each.
Meanwhile, as a result of the intensified police presence, fifty-four (54) municipalities in the different provinces of the region and three (3) police stations in Baguio City remain peaceful, as PROCOR recorded zero crime incidents during the same week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in twenty-four (24) out of twenty-seven (27) municipalities in Abra; five (5) out of seven (7) municipalities in Apayao; three (3) out of thirteen (13) municipalities in Benguet; four (4) out of seven (7) municipalities in Kalinga; eight (8) out of eleven (11) municipalities in Ifugao; and the ten (10) municipalities in Mountain Province.
Further, the City Police Stations of Aurora Hill Police Station (PS) 6, Irisan PS 9, and Marcos Highway PS 10 also recorded zero crime incidents out of 10 police stations in Baguio City. (PRO COR-PIO)
