TABUK CITY, Kalinga – The City Cooperatives and Enterprise Development Office (CCEDO) welcomed a newly-registered micro cooperative in the city,ย the Open Heaven Credit Cooperative (OHCC).
According to Engr. Ronald Ryan Jose, Program Development Officer of CCEDO, the cooperative was registered under the Cordillera office of the Cooperative Development Authorityย after submitting the required documents, such as articles of cooperation and by-laws, economic survey, surety bond, pre-registration seminar certificate, and treasurer’s affidavit.
The CCEDO will support the OHCC in obtaining tax exemption from the Bureau of Internal Revenue, accreditation from the Sangguniang Panlungsod, andย participation in the City Cooperative Development Council and the Kalinga Provincial Cooperative Union as a neophyte cooperative.
Pastor Dante Ranjo, OHCC Manager stated that the cooperative’s goal is to assist members and the community through its credit service, and that anyone is welcome to join.
The cooperative, which has 20 members and is located at the Second Floor of Highlander’s Building, Purok 6 Bulanao, has set the fixed deposit at P5,000.00 with a P500.00 membership fee.
According to CCEDO records, there are already 80 registered and active cooperatives in the city.
Mayor Darwin Estraรฑero is glad that a new cooperative has opened and is ready to assist members in their different activities and services.
