BAGUIO CITY – A 45-year old alleged member of the acetylene gang was arrested by combined police operatives during the service of his warrant issued by a Cebu-based court in his hideout at Modesta St. Mines View here around 10:30 am Thursday.
Senior Superintendent Rolando F. Miranda, officer-in-charge of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO), identified the arrested wanted individual as Madrid Batnag, 45, married and a resident of No. 14 Modesta St., Mines View, Baguio City.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge Macaundas M. Hadjirasul of the Cebu-based Regional Trial Court (RTC) for Violation of Section 11 of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Law with a recommended bail bond of P200,000 for his temporary liberty.
He was described by police authorities as a member of the famous acetylene gang operating in the different pa4rts of the country.
The arrested individual is temporarily detained at the BCPO headquarters prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposition of the case filed against him.
