Two suspected drug peddlers were arrested after selling Php 32,436.00 worth of shabu, while a total of Php 40,000.00 worth of marijuana plants were confiscated in separate anti-illegal operations conducted by PROCOR Cops in the provinces of Abra and Benguet on July 19, 2023.
Based on the reports submitted to PROCOR Regional Director, PBGEN DAVID K PEREDO, JR., the arrested suspects were identified as Wilmer Lizardo, 33 years old, SLI, and Jaysie Singwayan, 32 years old, HVI.
In Abra, suspect Lizardo was arrested by the joint operatives of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and Bucay Municipal Police Station (MPS) of the Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) after he sold one (1) sachet of suspected “shabu” weighing more or less.75 grams with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of Php 5, 100.00 to a police operative who acted as a poseur buyer.
In Benguet, a search warrant implemented by joint operatives of the Buguias MPS, 1st Benguet Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), and PDEU of the Benguet PPO, resulted in the arrest of suspect Singwayan after operatives found and confiscated three (3) plastic sachets of suspected shabu with an estimated weight of 4.02 grams and a Standard Drug Price (SDP) amounting to Php 27,336.00 from his residence.
Meanwhile, a total of 200 pieces of Fully Grown Marijuana Plants (FGMP) with an SDP of Php 40,000.00 were discovered by anti-illegal drugs operatives in Bakun MPS in a marijuana eradication operation in Sitio Macagang, Kayapa, Bakun, Benguet. All marijuana plants were uprooted and burned on-site while an investigation was conducted to identify the possible cultivators. (PRO COR-PIO)
