Governor Eleanor C. Bulut-Begtang led the launching of “RESBAKUNA Kasanga ng Bida” program yesterday (March 8 ) in Luna, Apayao, a day after the arrival of 960 doses of CoronaVac vaccines on Sunday (March 7). The newly installed Provincial Department of Health Officer Charlyn Tagabing together with the Municipal Mayors joined the Governor showing the oneness and positive acceptance of the province with the vaccine, a new development against Covid-19.
Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan headed by Vice Governor Remy Albano, National Line Agencies, Provincial and Municipal officials, and health officials attended and showed support to the program.
Gov. Leah thanked the Department of Health for responding positively to their request in securing vaccines for the province. She has high hopes that “through the said vaccines, the people can now live better in the new normal without much fear.”
The Governor acknowledged and expressed her utmost gratitude to Senator Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara who shall donate an ambulance to the Province’s TTMF. She also thanked her brother-Congressman Elias C. Bulut, Jr. for his continuing support in the province’s fight against Covid-19.
According to Provincial Health Officer 1 Dr. Mark Joleen Calban, the Far North Luzon General Hospital and Training Center shall be vaccinated on Wednesday (March 10) followed by DOH retained Conner District Hospital and then by the different District Hospitals of the Provincial Government.
