BAGUIO CITY – A police officer is now in stable condition in a local hospital after his motorcycle collided with a Asian Utility Vehicle (AUV) along Kennon Road, particularly at barangay Camp 7, here around 7 am Friday.
Superintendent Evilio Degay, chief of the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Traffic Management Branch, identified the injured policeman as Jeffrey DC Lance, 31, a PNP member and a resident of Fairview, Baguio City.
Initial investigation showed that the victim was driving his motorcycle heading towards the city proper when it collided with the AUV driven by Arnel Carlos, 52, contractor and a resident of Wet Montecillo, Camp 7 while both vehicles were overtaking a slow-moving vehicle in front of them.
Because of the impact of the collision, both vehicles sustained heavy damages while Lance, who sustained multiple head and body injuries, was rushed to the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC) for medical treatment and was declared out of danger.
