BAGUIO CITY – Classes in all levels in Baguio City this Saturday, February 24 have been suspended.
Baguio City Mayor Mauricio G. Domogan made the announcement during the Kapihan sa Baguio on February 21.
Domogan said the suspension will allow the college students, who normally have Saturday classes, to avoid the hassles of the human and vehicular traffic brought about by the expected over a million local and foreign tourists flocking in the city for the 2018 Panagbenga Grand Street Parade.
He also said the suspension will allow both visitors and students a chance to witness and enjoy the festivities brought about by grand street parade, as well as the Grand Float Parade on Sunday, February 25.
It has already been a regular experience in the city that heavy vehicular traffic jams simultaneously occur whenever the main parades of the famous Flower Festival are held.
