DOLORES, Abra March 28 – A 45-year old punong barangay was arrested by combined police operatives and intelligence agents based on a warrant for rape in his residence at Lubluba, here, Monday.
Police authorities identified the arrested individual as Leonardo Trinidad Advincula, 45 years old, married, incumbent Barangay Chairman and a resident of Barangay Lub-luba, Dolores, Abra.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Corpus Alzate of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 2 in Bangued with no bill recommended for his temporary liberty.
The arrested individual was brought to the Dolores Municipal Police Station for documentation prior to his turnover to the issuing court for the proper disposal of the case filed against him.
