BONTOC, Mountain Province – Third-termer Bontoc Mayor Franklin Odsey rallied for continuous cooperation and collaboration of all stakeholders in the implementation and attainment of all the undertakings of the municipal government.

During the oath taking of the newly-elected municipal officials on June 28, 2019, at the Bontoc Municipal Capitol, Odsey humbly shared the major accomplishments and achievements of the his former administration which he credited to the all-out support of the public and all stakeholders, including the construction of the Bontoc Municipal Capitol and the Waste Management Facility at Am-ancho, Bontoc Ili and the municipality as a National awardee of the Seal of Good Local Governance for two consecutive years in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

“These many accomplishments were made possible because of your trust. I appeal again for your continuous support to pursue with vigor our new and unfinished projects,” the mayor remarked.

One of the unfinished projects which he vouched to complete before his term ends is the distribution of sufficient and safe potable supply of water to the four central barangays of Bontoc with the on-going project on the installation of a potable water system in Gakhan Creek/ spring in Barangay Talubin going directly to the water reservoir in Pagturao, Poblacion and to be distributed to the households, commercial buildings, and institutions in Barangays Bontoc Ili, Poblacion, Caluttit and Samoki. The Gakhan Creek water source can be reached in four to five hours trek from the road going up the mountain.

Odsey firmly believes this major project, along with the other programs and undertakings of the municipal government, will come into fruition with the cooperation of everyone.

“I call on the cooperation of everyone to join me in attaining our mission for a better Bontoc. This includes the elected and appointed officials, and the rank and file employees of the municipal government. Be therefore unselfish in your cooperation as each of us has God-given talents to share,” he added.

Joined by his family, Odsey thanked the electorate for the trust and confidence they have given him as he assured good public service with dignity.
