KABUGAO, Apayao – Nagbabalayan Elementary School (NES) in Kabugao, Apayao, now has access to Starlink internet connectivity thanks to the provincial government.
In a Facebook post dated April 23, teacher Jaypee Balalang of NES expressed gratitude to Gov. Elias C. Bulut, Jr., and the provincial government for fulfilling their request for a Starlink Kit with a lifetime subscription, stating “This provision signifies an earnest endeavor to enhance educational standards within our institution and the community, particularly on Disaster Risk Reduction. This support underscores a shared commitment to advancing education and fostering socio-economic development within our locality.”
The teacher also thanked Provincial Accountant Sherwin Agudelo for personally installing the kit.
Starlink, a cutting-edge satellite system, provides high-speed internet from space, bridging the digital gap for remote areas like Kabugao. This is a significant step towards ensuring seamless online access for the community.
Bulut’s commitment to advancing connectivity extends beyond Nagbabalayan ES. Starlink Internet was recently extended to two barangays, Maragat, and Dagara in the same town. This expansion integrates these areas into the digital realm and likewise promotes communal development.
It can be noted that the governor pledged to provide internet connectivity in far-flung barangays in the province as well as educational institutions. By Krizza Joy Castillo
