CONNER, Apayao – On March 5, 2024, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Apayao came together with the Provincial Government of Apayao, headed by Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr., to conduct a Basic Orientation on Enhanced Barangay Newly Elected Official (E-BNEO) at Conner, Apayao.
The First District Sanggunian Kyle Mariah Chelsea S. Bulut-Cunan opened the two-day orientation on Day 1 by urging the newly elected barangay officials to “Walk the Talk,” as they have been trusted by their constituents to represent them and bring them closer to the government’s programs and projects.
Mayor Jorico F. Bayaua, in his message, emphasized the importance of good governance to the newly elected barangay officials of their town, sharing the experiences of Conner in getting awards for its achievements.
Mayer Max G. Adong, Provincial Director of DILG, recognized the display of excellence through active collaboration by the Conner LGU officials and employees, Barangay officials and stakeholders, and DILG Apayao personnel in obtaining recognitions.
Adong added that those success is a result of shared responsibility and collective efforts of all concerned.
Meanwhile, the Provincial Government Employees brought the services of the ASENG ni ELIAS – a banner program under the guidance of Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr. which pushes for development and progress thru various provision of much needed aid to the yApayaos (Employment, Livelihood, Immediacies, Access to Financing and Credit, and Scholarship).
This is Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr.’s commitment to public interest and his responsiveness to public needs. Bulut Jr., underscored, in an interview, that encompassing progress and development for all yApayaos cannot happen unless a holistic and strategic program and projects are implemented.
Along with the ASENG program is the Project Butsy (Medical and Health Services), Taskforce LUSA (Legal aid to resolve land related disputes) and BRyA (Environment conservation).
