BAGUIO CITY February Pupils of Easter College-Elementary Department gained national recognition for their investigatory projects in two recently conducted national science competitions.
Lord Francis Raphael Gonzales, Redford Luther P. Padlan and Althea Agoon W. Guesaed grabbed second place after defending their entry entitled “The Effect of Magnetic Soil on the Growth of Chinese Cabbage (Brassica Rapa L.) and Lettuce (Lactuca Sativa) in the Science Investigatory Project, Life Science Category, of the National Science Children’s Congress held at Calamba, Laguna last February 1-3, 2016.
In the same competition, Jay Michael P. Palomares won third place in quiz bee.
Said competition was sponsored by the Science Club Advisers Association of the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Phiel Adrian B. Chelim placed third in his investigatory project Evaluation of Cytotoxicity of Makabuhay ( Tinospora Rumphii) Vine Extracts with Allium Test in the Science Investigatory Project- Life Science Individual Category of the 13th National Science Quest held at Teachers Camp, Baguio City last February 5-7, 2016.
