BAGUIO CITY – A 42-year old former Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) was found dead by his own brother inside her house at Unit 1, Upper San Vicente here around 5:30 pm Wednesday.
Police authorities identified the victim as Ms. Honorina Emmang Domigit, 42, single, ex-OFW, and a resident of Upper San Vicente, Baguio City.
Initial police investigation showed the victim’s brother who was named as Keanu Emmang Domingit, 19, single, student and a resident of Aurora Hill, Baguio City went to check the victim at her unit because she failed to respond to phone calls and text messages.
He repeatedly knocked at the door of the victim’s unit but there was no response from her and he observed that the TV was opened inside.
He sought assistance from the owner of the house and borrowed the duplicate key to open the door. However, when they were trying to open the door using the duplicate key, it was double locked inside that prompted them to climb the terrace of the unit and entered inside using the back door which was half opened.
Once inside, he found the lifeless body of the victim lying face down on the floor and immediately called the personnel of Police Station 8 for the conduct of investigation. Further investigation revealed that there were no signs of forced entry at the victim’s unit and they learned that the victim was suffering from psoriasis.
Responding personnel of Police Station 8 together with SOCO Team lead by Superintendent Rodrigo Leal processed the crime scene and found out that the cadaver was dead for about 8 to 12 hours. Case is under further investigation while the cadaver was brought to Bahay Damayan funeral parlor for autopsy.
