BONTOC, Mountain Province – Barangay Can-eo was the recipient of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) funded by Sen. Loren Legarda.
The turnover of the cash relief assistance was led by Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., together with Vice Governor Francis O. Tauli, Board Member’s Ezra Samson A. Gomez, Tomas B. Tawagen, executive assistants Anthony Pandosen, John Challoy, Winston Calde, Aqueles Agnapan and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer Miguela P. Angwan.
“Asahan po ninyo ang aking patuloy na pagsuporta sa programa na maghahatid ng social services at pagbibigay ng de kalidad at agarang tulong sa ating mga kababayan na nakakaranas sa mga di inaasahang sakuna,” said the message of Senator Legarda that was read by Executive Assistant Pandosen.
On behalf of Mountain Province, Governor Lacwasan expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Senator Loren Legarda for her assistance.
Aside from the cash relief assistance, the Governor mentioned the other programs of the DSWD that were beneficial to the people of the province. Among those he identified were the RRP-CCAM-DRR, KALAHI, Libreng Sakay during the COVID-19 pandemic, social pension, 4Ps, cash incentive to centenarians and others.
Meanwhile, Board Member Gomez urged everyone to continue uniting as a community in working together for the continued development of the province.
In closing, Vice Governor Tauli emphasized that the implementation of the cash relief assistance is an affirmation of the consistent collaboration among the officials and employees of the barangay, municipal and provincial government to help the people of the province. By MP PIO
