Foundever™, a global leader in the customer experience (CX) industry, and the Baguio City Public Library (BCPL) are working together to shape young minds in the city and empower them with important skills through joint activities at the library premises that were designed as enjoyable learning experiences.
According to Lucelle Campoy, Leadership Development Manager at Foundever, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a vital part of the culture of Foundever. She said, “We want to ramp up our CSR by providing opportunities for our associates to give their time and energy to support causes where they can gain a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Volunteerism brings people together and promotes personal growth and development.”
In February, Foundever brought in its experts, Lucelle Campoy and two other Leadership Development Managers Leo Del Castillo and Aris Mape plus a long-time Operations Manager, Bryan Corpuz, for a special talk where they shared some insights about job application processes. Titled “Interview Ready: Strategies to Help You Ace Your Next Job,” the event was attended by about 40 participants and was such a success that plans are already afoot to stage it again.
The other joint activity was the BCPL Storytelling Sessions, an ongoing weekly program that’s designed to enrich and strengthen young people’s imaginations, as well as enhance their language skills, critical thinking, and creativity.
For the very first Foundever storytelling session with BCPL last January, people leaders Lucelle Campoy and Rosalinda Orallo gamely told stories to an enraptured audience. Other Foundever team leaders will be assigned for the subsequent sessions.
Through this partnership, Foundever and BCPL look forward to more storyteller-volunteers and for more young people to reap the benefits from these storytelling sessions.
