The Land Transportation Office Cordillera will be opening a new extension office in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao to service the people of Aguinaldo, Alfonso Lista and Mayoyao in Ifugao and the municipalities of Natonin and Paracelis in Mountain Province.
During the congressional budget call last September 19, 2019, Congressman Solomon R. Chungalao called the attention of LTO Assistant Secretary Edgar C. Galvante on his request for the establishment of Alfonso Lista extension office.
This is a follow up of the earlier initiative of Ifugao Congressman Chungalao during his first term in 2003 with then LTO Assistant Secretary Anneli R. Lontoc.
The request aims to lessen the travel time of LTO clients from the five municipalities in going to Lagawe, Ifugao or Bontoc, Mt. Province district office for their registration and licensing transactions.
This is the second extensions office of the Cordillera Administrative Region since its creation after 33 years. LTO Apayao was the first extension office in 1994 and was converted in a regular district office in December 4, 2012 after Republic Act 10347 was signed into law.
According to LTO Regional Director Francis Ray A. Almora, the new district office is situated in Santa Maria Poblacion in Alfonso Lista, Ifugao, the building was constructed and be used under the usufruct agreement with the local government unit.
The opening of the district office is in time this pandemic wherein movement of people and motorists are limited and restricted.
Among the initial services offered are renewal of registration of vehicle, renewal of driver’s license, student permit and conductor’s permit. The operation of the extension office will be headed by Engr. Norman C. Dupli.
Meantime, the district office in Lamut will still service the municipalities of Asipulo Banaue, Hingyon, Hungduan, Lagawe, Kiangan and Tinoc.
