๐๐ก๐๐ง๐๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ฒ๐๐๐ฒ ๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ญ, a homegrown Tabukeรฑo, joins the top 50 list of candidates for the Miss Universe 2022, representing the beauty and culture of the Cordilleras.
Crowned as Miss Baguio Queen 2021, she currently represents Baguio City with a heart dedicated to all Cordillerans, especially to her hometown-Tabuk City.
Born and raised in the city, this 22-year-old beauty queen is the daughter of Mr. Gerbacio Latugat from Guilayon and Ms. Elenita Dalayday from Cudal, both from the city.
Latugat is an alumna of Tabuk City National High School, a consistent deanโs lister, and a 4th year BS Architecture student at Saint Louis University, and does freelance modeling in her free time.
Her advocacies to represent the indigenous peoples of the Cordillera showcased her deep-rooted pride in our heritage and ancestry– indeed an epitome of a modern Kalinga beauty.
The Tabuk city government, led by Mayor Darwin Estraรฑero, gave a financial contribution of 50,000 pesos to show support in her Miss Universe Philippines quest.
Ms. Latugat is the second yKalinga to join the prestigious beauty pageant preceded by Ms. Victoria Mangawit who was the first Kalinga beauty queen to represent the province of Kalinga in the Miss Universe Philippines 2020.
Miss Universe Philippines will narrow down their final 30 delegates anytime soon to allow their accredited partners and their teams to hone in on fewer women and give them maximum support in their online challenges and preparations.

The Miss Universe Philippines coronation night will be held on April 30, 2022, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Bay City, Pasay, Metro Manila, and our hopes are high that she will soon join the top 30 list, and eventually take home the crown.ย
