The Lepanto National High School stakeholders and concerned citizens donated a total of Php132,700 as of press time to support different school projects and programs since January this year.
Most donors are alumni who raised a total cash donation of Php96,200 and Php36,500 worth of in kind items that were used for physical improvements, purchase of instructional materials, relief operations and other programs of the school.
Jerry Chan of Batch ’88 and Metro Baguio Rotary Club handed Php50,000 cash that was utilized to finance the installation and repair of hand washing facilities within the school.
Khim Organo and Greg Mendoza donated a total of 6 cubic meter sand and gravel amounting to Php9,000 that was used for SGC Projects while 2 bags cement and 4 liters paint from Rojohn Onangey were used to improve the Math Park.
Batch 1970 donated a 4×8 aluminum bulletin board and was installed for announcement posting corner. Batch 2014, 2001, 1981,1991,1999 also handed cash and in kind donations.
Php25,000 from the donations of alumni was used to purchase printer, OTG for senior high school students and 40 crates which are being utilized during retrieval and delivery of modules.
A total of Php16,500 cash from different donors were also received by the school to finance the Assessment of Learners with Special Educational Needs (LSENs).
The school is expecting other cash donations pledged by alumni and other kind individuals to finance other priority projects such as Assessment of LSENS and others. By Jackson Lacpap
