The number of frontliners contracting the dreaded Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) in the city continuous following reports that four more health workers have been diagnosed with the contagious disease Sunday.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong said a 61-year old female doctor and three nursing attendants, two 34 years old and a 27-year old, tested positive under the Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) confirmatory test.
They are from barangays BGH Compound, Camp 8 , Sto. Niño Road Bakakeng Central and La Trinidad.
“All appropriate courses of actions and standard operating procedures are currently being executed,” the mayor said.
Last April 25, 2020, two doctors, a nurse and a health clear of the Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center (BGHMC), the accredited sub-national testing laboratory in Northern Luzon, tested positive of the deadly virus and are now being closely monitored for the provision of appropriate medical supervision and for them to undergo the required isolation and home quarantine.
Previously, a medical doctor and an employee of the City Health Services office were able to recover from the highly contagious virus after being provided with the needed diagnosis from the health facilities in the city.
