I know it’s not a piece of cake. Travelling to all places around the world is somewhat impossible for a Grade 10 Junior High School student like me.
I haven’t visited some of the world-famous places here in the Philippines. How much more in the other countries with their vast territories compared to my small home country? But still, it is all that I want. I want to tour around the world.
The first places that I want to visit are in Asia. Number one is Japan. I want to see its top world-class technologies, its cherry blossoms (sakura) in full bloom, its rich culture, and everything else.
At first, Japan is the only place I wanted to visit. But then as time went by, I started desiring for more and further awesome places.
I am inspired to dream travelling around the world due to my mother’s unfulfilled wish. Once in her younger years, my mom wanted to tour around the globe. But she didn’t accomplish it. So I said to myself, “I will do it.” And I know that she would like it very much.
I know it’s not simple and easy. It takes careful preparation, much time and, of course, a lot of money.
I still have to finish my studies, which is six years from now. Then, I need a job for me to earn money. I think this is the difficult part because I will not only be earning for my dream but for myself and for my future too.
But there’s no guarantee that I will always have a lot of money because I know, that once in a while, there will be some financial crisis and other matters. So I know that it’s not really a piece of cake.
In the meantime, I have to do my best in everything I do because I believe that my passion can bring me to far places. My passion for Bible Quizzing Ministry of our church proved it. I didn’t know that being a bible quizzer made me ride an airplane and landed me in Davao last May.
Another is my passion for writing. It gave me a passport to visit Leyte for a national campus journalism contest.
These are the things that inspired me to continue pursuing my dream. These are my proofs that simple passions can bring one to places, which he or she wishes to visit.
I know that with God, nothing is impossible. I will fervently pray and trust Him my dream. I will just have to wait and work.
It will take a lot of time but I know that one day, I will travel around the world.
