TABUK CITY, Kalinga – On April 8, 2022, city government unit heads, representatives from the Department of Education, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Kalinga Electric Cooperative, Department of Interior and Local Government, and various sectors attended the orientation on Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) of the City Planning and Development Office (CPDO).
The purpose of the orientation was to refresh and inform participants about the streamlined CDP procedure as well as the mainstreamed sectoral requirements for sectoral representatives.
Sec. 106 of RA 7160, also known as the Local Government Code of 1991, was the basis to simplify the CDP procedure and mainstream the sectoral criteria.
The CPDO’s Badlon Garnace Jr. highlighted the city’s amended rules on the Assessment of Comprehensive Development Plans which provides improved instructions for CDP assessment.
Apart from the orientation, a workshop training on how the city’s various agencies will be designated based on their sectoral representation was also held.
