BAGUIO CITY – Businesses in the Cordillera Administrative Region aiming to flourish in the export industry have found a powerful ally in PhilExport Cordillera. As the region’s economic landscape continues to evolve, the advantages of joining this esteemed organization are becoming increasingly evident, according to PhilExport Cordillera Chapter President Abigail Mae V. Bulayungan in a chance interview conducted over the week.

When asked about the benefits of joining PhilExport Cordillera, Bulayungan underscored “The benefits of becoming a part of PhilExport Cordillera go far beyond just membership. We are here to empower local businesses and entrepreneurs, providing them with a solid foundation to thrive in the competitive export arena.”

Access to Invaluable Expertise:

One of the most enticing advantages of PhilExport Cordillera membership is the access to a wealth of industry expertise. “We bring in experts who provide members with insights into market trends, international trade regulations, and effective strategies for expanding into global markets,” Bulayungan stated. “The knowledge gained from these sessions can be a game-changer for businesses looking to elevate their export game.”

Networking for Growth:

In the same chance interview, PhilExport Cordillera Executive Director, Deodariel Baniqued highlighted the organization’s role in fostering a robust network of connections. “Networking is the lifeblood of any successful business venture, and being a part of PhilExport Cordillera opens doors to a community of like-minded individuals and enterprises,” Baniqued said. “Through seminars, workshops, and events, members can build meaningful relationships that could lead to potential partnerships and collaborations.”

Advocacy with Impact:

As an advocate for the interests of its members, PhilExport Cordillera amplifies the voice of local businesses on matters of policy and regulations. “We work tirelessly to ensure that the concerns and aspirations of our members are heard by policymakers and government entities,” Baniqued remarked. “Being part of our organization means being part of a collective effort to shape an enabling environment for the export sector.”

Market Entry Support

Bulayungan elaborated on the assistance PhilExport Cordillera provides to businesses seeking to expand their footprint beyond domestic borders. “We offer guidance on market research, trade missions, and participation in international exhibitions,” she explained. “These opportunities not only showcase local products and services to a global audience but also provide a platform to establish meaningful international partnerships.”

Learning and Development:

In a rapidly evolving business landscape, staying updated is crucial. “Our organization organizes training programs, workshops, and seminars that equip members with the latest industry insights, export strategies, and knowledge of international best practices,” Baniqued pointed out. “Continuous learning is a cornerstone of growth, and we ensure our members have access to the tools they need to excel.”

Credibility and Brand Enhancement:

Baniqued emphasized the positive impact of PhilExport Cordillera membership on a business’s reputation. “Being associated with our esteemed organization brings credibility and recognition,” he said. “This recognition extends not only to local stakeholders but also to potential international partners who value the strength and influence of our network.”

The Executive Director of PhilExport Cordillera, Deodariel Baniqued together with its chapter President Abigail Mae V. Bulayungan work as a tandem to see first-hand  the transformative effect the organization has on local businesses. “Joining PhilExport Cordillera isn’t just about becoming a member; it’s about becoming a part of a dynamic community dedicated to export success,” Baniqued concluded. “We’re here to support businesses in unlocking their export potential, driving economic growth in the Cordillera region, and contributing to the nation’s export prowess.”

Bulayungan appealed to all interested individuals, MSMEs and other businesses in the Cordillera region to be part of the PhilExport Cordillera Chapter. “We are urging all interested individuals, micro, small and medium enterprises, people’s organizations, the academe and other institution both in government and private to be part of PhilExport. Everyone has a part to play in the journey towards our nation’s prosperity.”

In an era of economic shifts and global opportunities, the advantages of joining PhilExport Cordillera are clear: a path to advancement, networking, advocacy, and expertise, all vital components in the journey toward a prosperous export future.
